Introducing the new home of Back Issues Comicon!
The Cedar Event Centre is our new home as of April 17, 2027. Our last few events have filled both floors of the hall we were at. It was a wonderful venue and I loved it, but it did have a few challenges. A lack of parking, some difficulty finding it, lighting upstairs and bathroom facilities were all common discussions, and a limitation of just 60 tables. We could fit no more, which left us with no room for existing vendors to add tables to their set-up and left us with people on the waitlist each and every time. This new location is located in a dense population area at 111 Clayton Park Drive, on the corner of Clayton Park Dr. and Dunbrack Street (one of the busiest roads in Halifax). It has lighting galore, big, beautiful windows, spacious washrooms, 164 parking spaces & street parking close by and we can expand to fill 12,000 sq/ft of available space!

Welcome to Back Issues Comicon
Our Story
Founded for the love of comic books, our first event was assembled in just under four months and happened on April 20, 2024 at the Christ Church Parish Hall at 61 Dundas Street in downtown Dartmouth.
Operating with a small budget and a lot of heart, we were able to fill 31 tables with vendors and comic industry guests in just three days. These vendors carried all sorts of products like comic books, comic magazines, comic digests, manga, graphic novels, collected trade paperbacks and hardcovers. With comics available for sale from as far back as WWII, including many key issues and first appearances.
By our 3rd show, we went from 31 tables and 16 vendors on a single floor at the first show to 61 tables and 30 vendors on TWO floors, which we continue to fill, and have a waitlist for, as of the 5th event.
Mission Statement
We strive to provide a safe and inclusive experience for comic book fans of all ages and preferences. A place for comic book collectors to find that special comic they need to finish a run, that key issue they've saved up for and couldn't find elsewhere, a chance to meet up and talk comics with like-minded fans
or a spot to meet comic creators to ask for signatures
on your favourite comic by them.
Comics aren't just for kids, they're for everyone!

Back Issues Comicon is proud to host the official release of Dark Coast #3!
Dark Coast is a horror anthology published by local company Sandstone Comics in Charlottetown. The anthology features all Canadian talent from across the Maritimes. Each issue features multiple horror stories that take place across the Maritimes. All home grown tales. Be sure to pick yours up on Saturday September 20th!
